Real Brooklyn Films was founded in 2012 by Brooklyn Based filmmaker Charlie Spickler
to specifically tell New York City stories.

In 2012 Charlie made RESCUE! BROOKLYN, a documentary film about Sean Casey Animal Rescue in Windsor Terrace Brooklyn. The film was selected by the Art of Brooklyn Film Festival to be it's opening night screening. RESCUE! Brooklyn is being distributed by Adler and Associates Entertainment and is currently available for purchase and download on Amazon Prime.

RBF Currently in production on a new documentary film about "folk icon" Jack Hardy and the Songwriter's Exchange called "BARD OF THE VILLAGE". 

Currently, Charlie and long time producing partner Myrna E. Duarte are working on the documentary film "72 Hours in the Fight for America". 
Following the wave of women candidates fighting for election night wins in the 2018 mid-term elections, Reel Brooklyn Films will be telling the story of several of those candidates in real time.
